I'd just like 2 thank everyone 4 their positive messages, but some surprised me. We do not trace, steal charaters or poseses from anyone, they are all our own.
i must say i have seen quite a similarity between some of your drawings and those of other people's. most people would be fine with you referencing their artwork, but it is important that you put a link to the original piece, or credit whoever drew it. try doing your own drawings. i have seen your gallery, and there is some good stuff in there, but you need to make it more of your own work. i dont think you deserve to be known as a "tracer", so maybe you could build up your own style, it will work over time. i'm sure that your work will turn out very well!

Wow... I can't believe people say you trace things... that's just ridiculous. Personally, I like your artwork very much ^^ I certainly don't consider you a tracer. I mean, these people call you a tracer, when other people use the SAME BALTO MOVIE STYLE?? Why don't they go attack THEM instead? (...wait, no, forget that )

Look, I understand that its hard to create a style as good others (trust me, I KNOW). But its theft. My advice: TRY your own style.

I don't see these as traces just very good eyeballings. HAH that sounded weird, point being though I don't think anyone should be attacking you saying you trace cause I don't really see anything here other than you reference screen caps A LOT. Which I will say is not the best way to learn how to draw and you should try to credit when possible. Especially if it's someone else's art and not from a movie. Just so people won't jump down your throat and get their panties in a wad. My suggestion is try to work from real life and real photos, get the anatomy down and then work on building up your own style. You guys have talent, just need to branch out more and try to avoid using other people's art for reference.
I can understand, in a way, the desire to emmulate a certain style, but many, many of these, I think, are really too close. Either you girls are really good at eyeballing screenshots or else they're outright traces. I'm not saying all of them are, but I think it's possible a lot of them could be.
You girls should try to get into your own styles, so that people can recognize you for that, rather than styles that are already in famous existence. ^^ Don't worry about not being good. It's all about practice.
